veteran of film violence

With my own early experiences of historical films in mind, I took my eight-year-old granddaughter to see Selma. In many ways it was a mistake; the film was more brutal than I expected, and each thunk of a club or a boot against the flesh of the demonstrators and their supporters rumbled and shook the theater. упоминаются из новых Selma, The Imitation Game, and The Theory of Everything, из старых - Ivanhoe (1952), The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men (1952), The Life of Emile Zola (1937) (интересно про Дрейфуса и Сезанна), The Story of Louis Pasteur и Madame Curie (1943) (забавно).

история и биографии в голливудском кино - интересная тема.
