What excuse do we have for high-school counselors and college deans who plead with teachers and professors to exercise “extreme empathy,” who argue any negative consequence is punitive and therefore harmful to the student in error? This is how we justify bad behavior on campus—the non-stop cursing, the TikTok challenges, the drug use, the defiance, the resistance to deadlines.

фильм не без французского макабра. кратко: муж с женой - богатые фермеры, жена непрерывно компостирует мужу мозги, типа сделай то и се, и это, а ппотом еще вон то - в общем пуще прежнего взбесилась старуха. к середине фильма жена погибает в автокатастрофе - и тут-то наступает французское, счастье [так!], муж лежит непрерывно в постели, наслаждаясь жизнью, спит и ест. чем вызывает возмущение трудолюбивых друзей и вообще населения городка. потом в городке появляется зеленоглазая Марлен Жобер, у них с вдовым главным героем - любоффь-моркоффь, он ее ведет под венец, но из под венца он сбегает, чувствуя, что она уже начинает пилить ему мозги тоже. вот такая французская комедия
