пьесу (1956) следует сравнивать с Трамвай Желание, конечно (1947). влияние, по-моему, несомненно. ну и Трамвай Желание во многих отношениях сильнее, прежде всего в плане необходимости всего происходящего. у Осборна все трогательно, но необязательно. могло быть так, могло быть эдак. и люди, в общем-то, довольно случайные, включая главного героя с его трубой. конструкция, созданная Уильямсом, не имеет "степеней свободы", кругом - железная необходимость. ну и персонажи... что Бланш, что Стенли - точность снайпера. и всеобъемлющесть водородной бомбы.

про коня и условный рефлекс

в одном из стройотрядов, где-то между 1969-м и 1972-м, в те годы, когда еще существовал гужевой транспорт, нам была придана телега с лошадью. вернее - с конем (это существенно), довольно продвинутого возраста. животное явно земную жизнь прошло до половины и дальше.

на телеге возили всякую ерунду, завхоз отряда тощий еврей Фима этим заведовал. коня совсем не напрягали, никто его не подгонял, груз был легкий, ящик консервов из сельпо или мешок картошки.

несколько раз я присутствовал в конце рабочего дня, часов в 5 вечера, в конюшне во время процеруры распряжения коня, высвобождения его из всей этой конструкции: оглобли, дуга, хомут... уж не знаю что там еще.

каждый раз во время этой процедуры у него вставал.
