Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), a contender to be Biden’s running mate, had vowed to withhold over 1,100 Army promotions until she was reassured by the Secretary of Defense that Vindman would make promotion to Colonel. Vindman cut that protest short by retiring.от себя добавлю: good riddance
