The Independent. lenta.ru

Computer, simulating a 13-year-old boy, becomes first to pass Turing test.

how do they know what's going on in Kasparov's brain? how do they know he's not using what they call "brute force"? his introspection? it's worth nothing, a bunch of rationalizations and self-deceptions.

also - what's "brute force"? most people using this term won't be able to tell a CPU from a screwdriver.

algorithms inside Deep Blue are smarter than 90% of the stupid population of this planet.

“I came home one day to our first apartment to find a couple of Jehovah’s Witnesses,” she wrote, “trying to wrap up the conversation and get out.”

The people in the audience, many of whom had spent countless hours locked in conversational combat with Mr. Breitbart, laughed long and hard at that one.
